Privacy Policy

Skedzu (“we”, “us”, or “our”) helps you design and manage your schedule across the web and mobile apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Skedzu, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use Skedzu, and limited technical data needed to run the service securely.

  • Account details such as your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), and profile preferences.
  • Schedule content you create, including sessions, events, templates, notes, and survey responses.
  • Calendar connection data when you choose to sync with Google Calendar or import calendar files.
  • AI assistant interactions, including messages you send to Ask Skedzu / Build with AI, schedule context (events and session details you share), and the schedule changes you approve.
  • Voice recordings you choose to make for transcription. Voice audio is sent securely to Skedzu and OpenAI for transcription when you use that feature.
  • Billing and subscription information processed through our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Device and usage data such as app version, browser type, IP address, and diagnostic logs used to keep the service reliable.
  • Push notification tokens if you enable reminders or mobile alerts.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate, improve, and protect Skedzu.

  • Provide scheduling, calendar, and AI assistant features you request.
  • Authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent abuse.
  • Process subscriptions, credits, and billing events.
  • Send service messages such as verification emails, password resets, and optional product updates.
  • Improve product quality, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

AI features

Ask Skedzu, Build with AI, and related AI features process your prompts, schedule context, and (when you use voice) audio recordings to generate suggestions. Before first use in the app, we ask for your permission to share this data for AI processing.

We send that content to our servers and to OpenAI (our AI model provider) so OpenAI can process it and return suggestions. We use this data to provide the feature, maintain safety, and improve reliability. You control whether AI suggestions are applied to your calendar.

Do not submit sensitive personal information (such as health records, government IDs, or payment card numbers) in chat unless you choose to and understand the risk.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run Skedzu, when required by law, or with your direction.

  • Infrastructure, hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing providers under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • OpenAI, which processes Ask Skedzu / Build with AI prompts, schedule context, and voice transcription audio on our behalf. OpenAI acts as a service provider and is contractually required to protect that data.
  • Google when you connect Google Calendar, subject to Google’s own terms and permissions you grant.
  • Law enforcement or regulators when we are legally required to do so.
  • Other parties if you explicitly ask us to share information or if we complete a business transaction subject to this policy.

Data retention

We keep your account and schedule data while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for security, billing, or legal compliance.

You can export your data from account settings. Backup copies may persist for a limited time before being purged on a rolling schedule.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login credentials private.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information.

  • Update profile details in account settings.
  • Export your data or delete your account from the app or at skedzu.ai/delete-account.
  • Disconnect Google Calendar at any time.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe link.
  • Contact us to exercise privacy rights not available in the product UI.

Children

Skedzu is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us data so we can delete it.

International users

Skedzu may process and store information in countries other than where you live. When we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of Skedzu after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
